Surprise from Helium

I just revisited a website, which is basically a place where anyone can start writing articles that gets published, and almost on any topic that you want!
I stumbled upon it way back in my uni days, in late april, back then I also began blogging so the writing in me kind of picked up? or maybe the word "rediscovered" could even be used here!

So I explored Helium and found it rather cool, its concept can be aptly described by its tagline: "Where knowledge rules" its a platform for people to write and share their knowledge with the world. And writers get a cut of advertising revenue, so to me its a win-win situation. Although the ad rev is v little, so its more of writing for fun and sharing =) Even if u don't write, you can learn many new things from there. The articles you write also get reviewed from your peers and this causes ur article to get a rating in the form of ranking in the that particular topic.

For example way back in april, i submitted an article on my life experience of overcoming childhood chronic asthma, so the system is intelligent enough to recommend to you some possible titles based on similarly submitted articles so the collection of articles under the same title becomes a topic! pretty clever system isn't? its like an instant classfication system but of course you are free to use your own title.

So as i re-visted the website after a long time, the amount of articles under the topic i submitted last time: "How to control your asthma" has grown from 4(what i last remembered) to 15! thats almost 4 times or 400% which is quite a lot imo. and surprise surprise, my article is ranked no 2! i remembered it was no 1 the last i checked couple of months back. So hey it isn't bad! I'm sure sharing my personal experience has benefited many people ;) too bad there isn't a feature to track the amount of times your article has been read/viewed. That would be nifty, knowing it would tell me how many people I have helped by sharing my knowledge. But well i'm sure many :P

And how i could forget to share the article with you guys and gals! here is it:

So hope you learn something new! if you are interested to hop onto the scene or just want to explore writing, sign up at the website or drop me a e-mail at ericlovesgod@gmail.com and I will thrown you an invite. Cheers!
